The Akufo-Addo Government has so far recruited 120,367 Health Professionals. The Highest in the Nation's History. Breakdown: 1. Evidence of clearance for the above recruitments are attached below

New Model Schools: Education Committee of Parliament Visits Abomosu Model Senior High School

Image
This morning, the Education committee of Parliament visited one of the new Senior High Schools started from scratch, Abomosu Model Senior High School located in the Atiwa West constituency of the Eastern Region. I was impressed with the beautiful ultramodern facility being constructed to create more space in the second cycle level. The School shall equip students for the Arts, Science and Technical disciplines through interactive experiences using state of the art methods. The project is made up of 48 classrooms, an assembly hall, dormitories,  8 laboratories, dinning hall, 6 apartments for staffs.  According to the consultant,  the project is 90percent completed and is likely to be handed over to the Ghana Education Service in the next few months.  The people of Ghana are extremely grateful for this honor done them.

LIKE HIM OR HATE HIM, HE IS NOT A DEAD GOAT NOR YENTIE OBIA PRESIDENT

Image
Few days ago on a radio station in Cape Coast, President Akufo-Addo was asked about a comment made by the Vice President during the campaign launch of the NPP about the intention of the NPP government to construct a harbor and an airport at Cape Coast. The President responded that the NPP did not promise the people of Cape Coast a harbor and went further to refer Ghanaians to page 88 (promise number 207) of the 2020 manifesto of the NPP where it was clearly stated that Cape coast will be given a landing site. Prior to this, the President was previously asked on ATL radio in Cape coast about the call for a harbor and an airport at Cape Coast and he stated that a needs assessment will have to be done before Cape Coast can be given such projects. Since then, the issue kept resurfacing and became a topic for discussion in the media. Given another opportunity to address the issue on Peace FM this morning, President Akufo-Addo had the following to tell Ghanaians and the people of Cape Coast....

Response to the NDC Press Conference on Rising Fuel Prices

Image
1. Ex-pump prices have not increased by 7% as purported by the NDC. As of today Total Energies is the only OMC that has revised its price upwards from GHS6.52 per litre to GHS6.80 per litre; that is a 4.29% increase. Other OMCs are yet to announce their prices for the new window. We believe competition will even force this increase further down to a level below 3%. 2. Since the implementation of the price deregulation policy in July 2015, the responsibility of setting ex-pump prices lies with the various Bulk Import, Distribution and Export Companies (BIDECs) and Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs). As a result, changes in prices at the pumps almost every two weeks are not dictated by government but are a direct response to changes of prices of petroleum products on the world market and the strength of the Ghana Cedi (GHS) against the US Dollar (USD), as well as the keen competition amongst the various players competing to sell their products to the motoring public. 3. Areas of ...

THE NDC INCREASED FUEL PRICES BY 165% IN 4 YRS 10 MONTHS. NPP HAS DONE 54% IN 4 YEARS 10 MONTHS

Image
Fuel prices have gone up again, painfully so. Ghanaians are complaining, they have a right to. Maybe Government should remove some taxes on fuel ( and risk not meeting budget targets and thus unable to complete planned projects), or leave it as it is. Both have pros and cons.  But the NDC should never be the ones to pontificate on fuel prices and pretend they can or have handled it any better before. Far from it. The worst NPP performance is even better than their best.  From 7th January 2009 to 18th October 2013, 4 years 10 months of being in office, fuel prices increased by 165% !!! Yes, from 3.69 Cedis a gallon to 9.81 Cedis a gallon.  During this same period of time, 7th January 2017 to today 18th October 2021, under the NPP, fuel prices have increased by 54.2%, that is from 19 Cedis to 29.3 Cedis today.  How do you even compare a 165% increase to a 54% increase? Yes, Ghanaians need the best performance possible and of course the NDC should never be the standard ...

Health infrastructure: Has the NPP abandoned NDC's projects?

Image
The New Patriotic Party inherited a total of 37 Health Projects from the NDC and Ex President Mahama.  Out of the 37, sixteen of these projects were projects the NDC inherited from the previous NPP Government under Former President Kufuor In 2009 but have appropriated as their own.  As at June 2021, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has continued all these projects and completed 20 of them with 17 of them ongoing at various stages of completion.  Total Projects inherited - 37 Total completed - 20 Total ongoing - 17 It is never true that the NPP has abandoned projects from the previous administration to focus on Agenda 111 as is being peddled by our brothers on the other side.
